Mali and Senegal faced each other in the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations. South African referee Abongile Tom blew the whistle for the match, which started at 19.00 GMT at the Grand Stade de Tanger. Senegal finished the match by winning with a single goal. Iliman Ndiaye scored the goal that brought Senegal the lead in the 27th minute. In the 45+3rd minute of the match, Mali’s Yves Bissouma was left out of the game with a red card.
On the other hand, in Senegal, Galatasaray’s Ismail Jakobs completed the match on the bench, while in Mali, Fenerbahçe’s Dorgeles Nene entered the game in the 55th minute and Beşiktaş’s El Bilal Toure entered the game in the 82nd minute.
After this result, Senegal advanced to the semi-finals, while Mali said goodbye to the tournament.
