Virtual versions of Leeuwarden, Groningen and Emmen in the popular game Roblox are a free playground for children throughout the Netherlands. There they recreate the work of the police, fire brigade and ambulance personnel down to the smallest detail. There is also a dark side: nude photos are shared in chat conversations and victims are extorted, while homophobia and anti-Semitism keep popping up in conversations.
