The journalist and host Eduardo Feinmann returned to the charge against Diego Armando Maradona on social networks with a devastating phrase. In a post that quickly went viral this Tuesday, January 6, 2026 on his X account (@edufeiok), Feinmann wrote: “Memory. He was Maduro’s clown, a tremendous human rights violator and criminal against humanity.”
The message, accompanied by a video, resurrects the journalist’s recurring criticism of the soccer star, focusing on his historical closeness to the Chavista regime and, in particular, to Nicolás Maduro. Maradona maintained a public relationship of support for the Venezuelan government during the last years of his life, meeting with Maduro and defending him in statements and publications, which generated controversy in Argentina and abroad.
It is not the first time that Feinmann expresses a visceral rejection of Maradona. In November 2025, during his program on A24, the host exploded live against a tribute to the former soccer player for the 65th anniversary of his birth. On that occasion, he harshly questioned the decision to rename a route in his honor and said: “Where the hell do they get that the country’s values are those of Maradona?” Although he acknowledged that he “played ball well,” he flatly rejected the idea that he represented national values and used it to attack Kirchnerism, which he associated with the exaltation of the figure of Diego.
Feinmann’s recent post generated a strong impact on networks: it accumulated thousands of likes, reposts and polarized responses. Some users supported his statements by recalling controversies from Maradona’s personal and political life, while others accused him of cowardice for criticizing someone who died and called him “resentful” or “a scourge.”
Feinmann, lawyer, political analyst and host of “Feinmann” on Radio Miter and his program on A24, is known for his tough positions against Kirchnerism and its international allies. This new attack revives a debate that combines sport, politics and historical memory, just at a time of drastic changes in Venezuela after the fall of the Maduro regime.
