The artist held a press conference at Jyväskylä’s town hall, i.e. in his hometown. The artist said that he will release a new song next Friday. In addition, he will organize a comeback concert on June 13 at the Hippos baseball stadium in Jyväskylä.
Media representatives were allowed to ask the artist questions. Before his hiatus in 2024, Gettomasa threatened to return only when his “money runs out”. At the press conference, the artist was asked if his money will run out when he returns.
– Yes, I knew how to expect this question, Gettomasa says at first with a smile on his lips.
– Now, if we focus on this topic properly. Let me explain this to you. I have this habit of throwing these kind of stupid sentences out of my mouth. As I’m sure many who have followed my career know, they haven’t always been thought through very far.
– I didn’t think that sentence would live such a life. It was a humorous thing from me, I have this kind of humor. Usually, when an artist goes on a break, people always say when he comes back, “Now his money is gone, he came back again”.

However, Gettomasa said that the reason for returning is not money.
– It was a bit of a throw like that. My money situation is like that… I’ve learned at home that you don’t ask strangers about it or comment on how things are going with the money, he rambles on.
Gettomasa pointed out that his income is public information. Gettomasa earned a total of 379,779 euros in 2024, of which 248,452 euros were earned income and 131,327 euros were capital income.
The artist was asked if he has changed his label. Gettomasa said that he changed his label from PME to Def Jam Recordings Finland.
– We had a good ten years with PME Records, but sometimes it’s good to seek a little new wind at this stage. We got on well with Def Jam and we had a good synergy with each other, similar goals. Let’s move on with these now, the artist replied.
