Snow brings out the best in us, as the wintery weather of the last few days shows. Children (and adults) on sleds, skiing the Wall of Emmen and photographers will also get their money’s worth. What other creative creatures can’t be missing in this white world? That’s right, snowmen.
The variation is great, from the classic snowman, to Olaf from Frozen, to a kind of octopus. And there are even a few variations on igloos. In Hoogeveen they came up with the brilliant idea to completely wrap mother’s car. He must have been confined to home today.
The snow that has fallen is ideal for creating these works of art. It KNMI explains how this is possible: “Plastic snow is fresh snow that usually consists of relatively large snowflakes and that forms best when there is little wind and high humidity. This is ideal snow for making snowmen and snowballs.”
