Domen Prevc greets the crowd in Bischofshofen during the Four Hills Tournament

As of: January 6, 2026 6:30 p.m

In the last competition of the 74th Four Hills Tournament, Domen Prevc took second place to win the tournament. With his brother Peter he achieved something historic.

Peter and Domen Prevc are the first pair of brothers in the history of ski jumping “Four Hills Tournament winner” to name. However, in the last competition of this 74th tour, Daniel Tschofenig is stronger than Domen Prevc.

It took this Prevc family from Slovenia, who are so enthusiastic about ski jumping, to write a piece of history again after 74 years of the Four Hills Tournament. Because Domen Prevc did the same as his brother Peter and was crowned tour winner at the prestigious German-Austrian ski jumping event. After Peter’s triumph in 2015/16 and Domen’s success in 2025/26, the two are now the first two brothers to win the tour.

At the end in Bischofshofen, Domen Prevc finished second in front of so many Slovenian fans to receive the “Golden Eagle”. He had previously won the competitions in Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen and also came second in Innsbruck. In Bischofshofen, Daniel Tschofenig (Austrian) won ahead of Prevc and Ryoyu Kobayashi (Japan). Five Austrians placed in the top seven.

Austrian Top talent Embacher already on the podium

However, Tschofenig’s success had less significance for the overall tour standings. Instead, his two teammates Jan Hörl and Stephan Embacher came second and third behind Prevc. Felix Hoffmann remained the best German, but he fell from fifth place overall to seventh.

The development of the 19-year-old top talent and six-time junior world champion Embacher into the world’s best is particularly remarkable. Like Prevc, Hörl, Tschofenig and Kobayashi, he is now one of the favorites again for the other upcoming season highlights: the Ski Flying World Championships in Oberstdorf at the end of January and the Olympics in Milan and Cortina in February.

Prevc family dominates among men and women

They call the 26-year-old Prevc “Domenator” these days because there is currently almost no match for his world-class flights. The way Domen Prevc is currently floating through the air after jumping off, no one else can do it.

And his sister Nika Prevc dominates the women’s competition and recently secured, among other things, the third “Two Nights Tour” victory in a row. The two of them emulated their brother Peter from an early age – and now they are setting out to create an even more glorious career.

Hoffmann has to be the best German Podium hope buried

The best German jumper in the final tour competition was Felix Hoffmann. The great German hope for the podium didn’t get past tenth place. Although the 28-year-old missed out on the top three in the overall ranking, he should still be extremely satisfied after his first fully completed tour and seventh place overall.

Similar to Philipp Raimund: The 25-year-old from SC Oberstdorf defied the worst conditions of the first round and made it to sixth place at halftime with 133.5 meters. After a weaker second jump, probably due to a cold, he fell back to twelfth place.

Paschke completes the German final trio

After tough years, Hoffmann has only been one of the top jumpers since this winter. His development is therefore somewhat reminiscent of that of Pius Paschke, who made his breakthrough to the top last season. Now the Kiefersfeldener is having a bit more difficulty again, he came 24th in Bischofshofen.

DSV problem children Wellinger and Geiger miss the final

The German team is still worried about the performances of Andreas Wellinger and Karl Geiger, who clearly missed the final with their jumps well beyond the K-point of 125 meters.

This time, Wellinger and Geiger were unable to place in the top 30 in any of the competitions on this tour, a memorable low point for the former World Cup and Olympic medalists.
