Two years ago we suddenly started visiting the cinema again, but since 2024 we have been watching films at home more often. And despite the silver screen successes of Lilo & Stitch and Avatar: fire & ash, ‘only’ 28 million tickets were sold in 2025. This is evident from the cinema figures published on Tuesday. The trade organization speaks of a disappointment.
