14:56
Lisa Eder (AUT)
And Lisa Eder also knows how to take this jump. Cheered on by the Austrian audience, she jumps away powerfully, also reaches 92 meters and takes the lead!
2:55 p.m
Selina Freitag (GER)
Selina Freitag is the last German sitting on the beam. After yesterday’s podium finish, she can now jump far down, landing at 92 meters and putting herself in second place behind Reisch.
14:54
Sara Takanashi (JPN)
And Sara Takanashi? It doesn’t bring it down quite that far. 86 meters doesn’t suit the Japanese woman. At least that’s the look on her face.
14:53
Agnes Reisch (GER)
Agnes Reisch follows the foot and pulls her jump down well. 90.5 meters even put the Germans in the lead!
14:52
Katharina Schmid (GER)
Things are getting serious for Katharina Schmid. She descends 86.5 meters and has a smile on her face as she rides out. That’s fourth place at the moment.
2:50 p.m
Heidi Dyhre Traaserud (NOR)
Heidi Dyhre Traaserud now opens the group of the best ten jumpers in the overall World Cup. And it does that at 87.5 meters. It fits and is of course enough for a second jump, but she has already jumped much better.
2:49 p.m
Nika Vodan (SLO)
And the 90 meters are cracked again! Nika Vodan pulls down her jump practically without mistakes and celebrates over 91.5 meters.
2:48 p.m
Yuka Seto (JPN)
The jury reacts to these two jumps and shortens the run-up in front of Yuka Seto. But she doesn’t let that bother her, she jumps to 87.5 meters and is of course sixth again today.
2:47 p.m
Ping Zeng (CHN)
And Zeng Ping? She’ll do it again like that! The Chinese jumps to 96.5 meters, but gets a few points deducted due to a messy landing and good wind conditions. That’s why it’s only second place for the moment.
2:45 p.m
Julia Mühlbacher (AUT)
Julia Mühlbacher really pulled it off! It worked right from the start, Mühlbacher stayed on the move for a long time and took a clear lead of 92 meters.
2:44 p.m
Juliane Seyfarth (GER)
Juliane Seyfarth jumps safely over the required distance for the second round. It lies calmly over the skis and can look forward to 85.5 meters. Paige Jones still runs it.
2:43 p.m
Silje Opseth (NOR)
Silje Opseth jumps 85 meters and ends up in fifth place. Meanwhile, Josephine Pagnier was disqualified.
2:43 p.m
Ringo Miyajima (JPN)
Things aren’t going well for the Japanese. Ringo Miyajima doesn’t match either. She looks pretty annoyed as she leaves the run.
2:42 p.m
Annika Sieff (ITA)
During the run-out, Annika Sieff doesn’t really seem to know how to evaluate her jump. Although she’ll definitely be there again at 82 meters, she’s not really happy either.
2:40 p.m
Gyda Westvold Hansen (NOR)
It’s not really easy, but Gyda Westvold Hansen gets the jump down really well and jumps 87 meters.
2:40 p.m
Anezka Indrackova (CZE)
She seems to be a little surprised at her height of 86.5 meters. That was a very neat jump that earned her third place.
2:39 p.m
Sina Arnet (SUI)
80.5 meters meant ninth place for Sina Arnet. And that’s definitely going into the second round. But Arnet doesn’t look happy yet.
2:38 p.m
Jenny Rautionaho (FIN)
Jenny Rautionaho lies fairly calmly in the air and places her skis in the snow at 83 meters.
2:37 p.m
Yuzuki Sato (JPN)
Yuzuki Sato doesn’t like her jump. The result is a width of 80.5 meters.
2:36 p.m
Josie Johnson (USA)
For Josie Johnson, 84 meters means third place and also a direct ticket to round two.
2:35 p.m
Paige Jones (USA)
Paige Jones pulls the jump far down and takes the lead with 87 meters. After landing, she has to briefly regain her balance, which is why the grades are not quite optimal.
2:34 p.m
Annika Belshaw (USA)
Annika Belshaw is now opening the small American group that is coming now. 83 meters is a solid start for Belshaw, but there can certainly be more in the second round.
2:33 p.m
Minja Korhonen (FIN)
Minja Korhonen started for Finland. With 84.5 meters she secures her ticket for the second round.
2:32 p.m
Katra Komar (SLO)
Let’s go for Katra Komar. The Slovenian is still working on her position in the air and jumps to 82 meters.
2:32 p.m
Josephine Pagnier (FRA)
Josephine Pagnier shows a reasonable jump of 83.5 meters. This puts her in third place.
2:31 p.m
Yangning Weng (CHN)
Yangning Weng sits very far back when landing after 83 meters and doesn’t seem to be completely satisfied with her jump.
2:30 p.m
Emely Torazza (GER)
Emely Torazza isn’t doing that well. It stands very steeply in the air and only ends up in last place at 77.5 meters.
14:29
Taja Terbovsek (SLO)
That was a really good jump from Taja Terbovsek! She comes in well, sticks to the jump and achieves the highest distance to date with 87.5 meters.
14:28
Qi Liu (CHN)
Qi Liu is next, but it doesn’t fit at all. But over 78.5 meters she holds her hands in front of her face.
14:27
Julina Kreibich (GER)
Julina Kreibich jumps out energetically, but at 80.5 meters she doesn’t manage to jump quite as far as the women in front of her. That’s sixth place for the moment.
14:26
Daniela Vasilica Toth (ROU)
Daniela Vasilica Toth had to wait a bit, but then the Romanian started. She has to make some adjustments with her arms and ends up at 83.5 meters and in fourth place.
14:24
Zhanna Hlukhova (UKR)
Zhanna Hlukhova isn’t quite making it that far again. 81 meters is the result of a somewhat steep and slightly twisted jump.
14:23
Sofia Mattila (FIN)
Sofia Mattila is allowed to go. After a decent jump, the Finnish woman went 85.5 meters. That’s enough to take the lead over Lisa Hirner.
14:22
Liangyao Wang (CHN)
The Chinese Liangyao Wang now jumps 82.5 meters. She’s not really happy with it.
14:21
Lisa Hirner (AUT)
And Lisa Hirner is the first Austrian on the ski jump. It will be 81 meters for them. That’s a good bit further, but she shakes her head slightly as she runs out.
14:21
Martina Ambrosi (ITA)
From Luke 13 we now start with Martina Ambrosi. The Italian achieved the first distance in the snow with 76.5 meters.
2:16 p.m
It’s snowing in Villach
However, the weather in the Alpine Arena in Villach leaves a lot to be desired. The temperatures are just below freezing, but it is snowing heavily. And of course that could damage the trail. But the wind is holding back.
2:14 p.m
These are the favorites
Nozomi Maruyama, Nika Prevc, Lisa Eder or, or, or. The list of favorites is once again long. In all likelihood nothing will beat Nika Prevc today either. The Slovenian is simply in impressive form. But of course names like Maruyama, Strate, Eder and Freitag are always there when we talk about podium places. This list could be expanded at will, which is why we can hope for an exciting competition again today.
2:07 p.m
Only Arnet for Switzerland
Only Sina Arnet will start for Switzerland. It was just enough for them to qualify. Her teammates Rea Kindlimann and Simone Buff ended up far behind and are therefore not there.
2:06 p.m
Eder strong again
The Austrians qualified with nine women, but three of them only made it to the first round. Lisa Eder impressed once again and was only just behind Nika Prevc. Julia Mühlbacher also got along well. Lisa Hirner, who has been competing in Nordic combined for many years, is taking part in the special jumpers for the second time and can also take part in the competition.
2:00 p.m
German sextet
The DSV started the qualification today with six jumpers. And all six made it into the competition. The trio of Selina Freitag, Katharina Schmid and Agnes Reisch were able to place in the top third of the qualification. Emely Torazza, Julina Kreibich and Juliane Seyfarth ended up a little further back, but still remained well within the 39 qualified athletes. At the age of 18, the young Kreibich is on the World Cup stage for only the second time today. In Garmisch-Partenkirchen last week she jumped to 26th place.
13:53
