A video generated with artificial intelligence circulated strongly again on social networks after the capture of Nicolas Maduro. The piece was published by the Instagram account @PapiTrumpo, known for making parodies of donald trump through the use of AI, making it speak in Spanish and mixing cultural references from different countries.
In the clip, Trump appears dressed with a mustache and wrapped in a Venezuelan flag, pretending to assume the role of “new president” after Maduro’s departure. Throughout the video, alternate phrases in Spanish and Englishwith an exaggerated and confusing tone, and even introduces references to Mexican culture that are not directly related to Venezuela.
“Hello friends, I am the new president, Mr. Donaldo J Trumpo,” he says at the beginning of the video. Then he continues: ““Your former president, Mr. Maduro, is no longer your president.”later stating: “We are going to make Venezuela great again. Bigger and better than ever before.”
The monologue includes humorous passages such as the promise of a big Mexican-style party with “all the tacos you want, much mariachi, sexy mamacistas and delicious margaritos“, in addition to presenting himself as the event’s DJ. The closing takes up the adapted slogan: “And let’s make Venezuela great again.”
The video quickly went viral and generated divided reactions: while some users celebrated the satirical and absurd tone, others pointed out cultural errors and the indistinct use of Latin American stereotypes. The @PapiTrumpo account had previously gained notoriety for this type of parody content made with artificial intelligence, focused on the figure of Trump and his discursive style.
