RB Leipzig is in the middle of preparing for the second half of the season. But the Saxons still have to do without one player.

RB Leipzig has been in training camp since Friday, but Lukas Klostermann is missing. The national player was actually planned for this. Klostermann is still on involuntary vacation in Dubai – and sick. As the “Bild” newspaper reports, the defensive man is suffering from a persistent flu-like infection with a high fever. Klostermann is therefore unable to fly and has not yet been able to travel back.

According to the report, he was therefore unable to fly to Europe on Sunday either. The bitter thing: Leipzig is only in training camp until Wednesday. It is quite possible that the right-back will miss the camp completely and thus also large parts of the preparation for the first game of the new year.

RB Leipzig will face FC St. Pauli on matchday 16 on Saturday. Good preparation would have been incredibly important for Klostermann, as he is currently out under coach Ole Werner and only has four short appearances in the current Bundesliga season.
