The national and international clubs are planning for the coming second half of the season. All important news in the transfer ticker.
Even before the winter transfer window officially opened on January 1, 2026, a number of changes in the Bundesliga had already been made. Leverkusen, Stuttgart and Wolfsburg were particularly active.
The German clubs are allowed to sign additional players until February 2nd (8 p.m.). At t-online you can find an overview of rumors and changes from Germany and the world.
Cole Campbell leaves Borussia Dortmund. As Sport1 and the pay-TV broadcaster Sky both report, the 19-year-old is moving to Hoffenheim on loan until the summer. TSG has therefore transferred 1.5 million euros to BVB and secured a purchase option; the overall package is around ten million euros.
Campbell, who has only appeared once in the Bundesliga and twice in the Regionalliga for Dortmund’s reserve team this season, had already submitted a change request weeks ago. The American is hoping for more playing time in Hoffenheim, also with a view to the World Cup.
After Pascal Groß’s departure to Brighton & Hove Albion, he is the second player to leave the “Black and Yellows” in this transfer window.
João Cancelo no longer plays a sporting role at al-Hilal and is pushing for a change after being sidelined. The 31-year-old is apparently considering a return to Europe. According to the Italian “Gazzetta dello Sport”, Cancelo is about to go on loan to Inter Milan – if it weren’t for FC Barcelona.
According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Cancelo, who was already on loan at Inter from 2017 and 2018, is still hesitating about his decision. The professional, who was also under contract with FC Bayern, is planning to return to Barça. Before moving to al-Hilal, he already played for the Catalans.
