Colombian striker Luis Díaz releases his first song. His wife, daughters and parents can also be seen in the emotional music video.

Luis Díaz from FC Bayern has released his first own song and music video with “La Promesa” – the promise. The 28-year-old Colombian discusses his rise from a poor background to become a professional footballer and a promise to his family.

In the video shared on Instagram over the New Year, Díaz wrote: “This song comes from the depths of the heart, from the most sincere gratitude. It is the result of a long journey, of faith, work and love. A journey on which God has worked and on which my family has fought with me and for me. Everything that I am and everything that I have today is thanks to this.”

At the heart of the song is the promise to his family. “I ask God not to leave me and to enlighten me,” sings Díaz. “Because I don’t want to break the promise I made to my family that I would buy them a house soon.”

In addition to his wife Gera, his two daughters and parents, the music video also shows sporting highlights from Díaz’s career with the Colombian national team, FC Liverpool and FC Bayern. At the end of the song, the striker draws a conclusion: “Thank God I made it. I bought the little house. I didn’t believe in it, but I surpassed myself. I got my family out of the neighborhood. Because I worked quietly and quietly.”
