The Darts World Cup is heading towards the home stretch. In the first semi-final, the world champion and the Schindler conqueror compete. Who will prevail? The live ticker.
The world champion is moving towards defending his title: With a 5-0 win over Krzysztof Ratajski, Luke Littler confidently reached the semi-finals of the Darts World Cup. There, the still only 18-year-old prodigy from England meets a fellow countryman. Ryan Searle is playing an outstanding tournament so far, including eliminating German number one Martin Schindler. The match live in the ticker on t-online.
5th set, 3rd leg – There are simply too many mistakes from Searle. And that makes it clear in the “Ally Pally”, because Littler wins his eighth leg in a row here. Searle misses the chance for a bullseye finish because he actually sinks a dart not into the single 17, but into the 2. This means Littler can check his 100 remaining points via the triple and double 20. He is now only two sets away from reaching the final.
5th set, 2nd leg – Searle finally has the chance for a leg again, but misses on double 16. But Littler also makes a mistake this time, leaving two opportunities for double 12. Searle cannot take advantage of this and misses another three darts on the double fields. Now Littler is there and hits double 12. 2-0 in the fifth set.
5th set, 1st leg – Can Searle Littler be dangerous again here? The world champion has won five legs in a row and is currently playing an average of between 103 and 105. Searle’s is just under 94. And the sixth leg in a row also goes to Littler, who checks his 51 remaining points on the 11 and the double 20. The break started right away because Searle had the throw-off.
4th set, 3rd leg – Clear thing in set number four. Littler also takes the third leg – with a high finish. He checks 110 points on the triple 19, the 13 and the double 20. That’s simply world class.
4th set, 2nd leg – And “The Nuke” also takes the second leg because his scoring is now also strong. 125, 140 and another 140 points are a house number. 96 remain. He checks them via the triple 20, the 18 and the double 9.
4th set, 1st leg – Wow, both start the fourth set with a 180. But again it’s Littler who has the upper hand here. Also because Searle only throws 41 and 9 points in between. This time the world champion checks 40 points via the 20 and the double 10.
