Actor George Clooney responds to the prickly message presented to him by US President Donald Trump.
Trump commented yesterday on his Truth Social service that Clooney and his wife, lawyer Amal Clooney, received French citizenship in December.
– Good news! George and Amal Clooney, two of the worst political forecasters of all time, are officially citizens of France, which unfortunately is in the middle of a major crime problem due to their absolutely terrible handling of immigration, Trump wrote.
Trump also claimed that Clooney received more publicity from politics than from his “very few and completely mediocre movies”.
– He was not a movie star at all, he was just an ordinary guy who constantly complained about the common sense of politics, Trump wrote.
Trump ended his publication with the slogan “make America great again”.
Clooney has now responded to Trump’s comment For the Hollywood Reporter in a split statement.
– I completely agree with the current president. We must make America great again. We will start in November, Clooney commented.
Clooney has been a prominent supporter of the Democrats. For example, in his opinion piece, he demanded that Joe Biden give up his candidacy before the presidential election.
Gravity– movie Clooney has previously expressed his concerns about raising children in Hollywood. The family has several homes, but they mostly spend time on a farm in France.
In Europe, children should be allowed to grow up without the dark side of publicity.
– I don’t want them walking around worrying about the paparazzi. I don’t want them to be compared to another celebrity’s children, the actor stated in October.
