This concerns 4,784 job seekers. For 28 percent of them, the step to work is too big for the time being due to welfare or health problems. They need support from other agencies that can help them tackle these problems.
For the remaining 3,433 job seekers, VDAB provided guidance, training, job fairs and job application assignments. At the end of November, 18 percent of this group was working. This rises to 22 percent among young people between 20 and 34 years old. For people over 50, the share is limited to 6 percent.
