Yle will show one hundred domestic wish films on the Teema & Fem channel this year.

Yle will celebrate its centenary in 2026. In honor of the anniversary, the Teema & Fem channel will be showing a hundred domestic films from the past one hundred years. The films shown have been selected based on the wishes of the viewers.
The movie stream starts today, on New Year’s Day, with three Komisario Palmu movies. Teema & Fem will show the films one after the other Commissioner Palmu’s mistake (1960), Gas, inspector Palmu! (1961) and The stars tell, inspector Palmu (1962).
Commissioner Palmu is a writer Mika Waltarin a character created and portrayed in crime comedy films based on books Joel Rinne (1897–1981).

In the first film, the death of a ratto boy found in a swimming pool is investigated, which turns out to be murder. In the second film, a rich widow is found dead as a result of gas poisoning. In the third film, the body of a murdered man is found on Tähtitorninmäki in Helsinki. The police investigation is complicated by the media frenzy arising from the case.
In the future, Teema & Femi will show anniversary wish movies on Tuesdays and Sundays starting with Epiphany.
