Fire in well-known church in Amsterdam: tower completely collapsed, dozens of people evacuated

The transition to the new year did not go without a hitch in the Netherlands. A major fire broke out at the top of the Vondelkerk in Amsterdam, which is located near the Vondelpark. The tower was completely destroyed, dozens of people had to leave their homes as a precaution. Furthermore, two deaths occurred elsewhere in the country after accidents involving fireworks.
