Emergency number 112 is now more accessible again after an extremely busy New Year’s Eve

The 112 control room throughout the Netherlands became overloaded during New Year’s Eve. Hundreds of reports were received by the control rooms. The NL-Alert called for people to only call 112 in life-threatening situations. Just before 2 a.m., the police reported that the emergency number is now more accessible again.
