December 31, 2025 – 10:29 p.mReading time: 1 min.

Recently he no longer played an important role at Borussia Dortmund. Now Pascal Groß will probably return to a former club.
Now everything could apparently happen very quickly: According to consistent media reports, Pascal Groß is about to leave Borussia Dortmund this winter break. This was reported by both Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and Sky on Wednesday evening.
Accordingly, Groß is about to return to his former club Brighton & Hove Albion, from which he only moved to Dortmund for seven million euros in the summer of 2024. According to Romano, an agreement has already been reached.
The medical check should follow within the next 48 hours, Sky even reported that the check was due on New Year’s Day. Groß recently lost his regular place at BVB under coach Niko Kovac and was no longer nominated for the German national team by national coach Julian Nagelsmann. The 34-year-old now wants to build on better times in Brighton. Groß had already played for the “Seagulls” from 2017 to 2024. His contract in Dortmund actually ran until June 30, 2026. For BVB, Groß scored one goal and provided 17 assists in 66 competitive games.
