Marco Liorni hosts the traditional end-of-year event live from Catanzaro

Come back The Year to ComeRai 1’s traditional New Year’s Eve event, to accompany the public to the fateful moment of the countdown in which to let loose by uncorking sparkling wine and starting the trains through the streets and in homes. Lots of music, laughter and fun to keep company with those who have chosen to celebrate at home, perhaps using the TV to monitor the time and avoid missing midnight.

For the third consecutive year The Year to Come will be held in Calabria. After Crotone and Reggio Calabria, this year it will be Catanzaro to welcome the stage, the musical guests and the host Marco Liorni who will return to lead the program for the second consecutive year. The live broadcast will start immediately after the end-of-year speech by the President of the Republic. The Year to Come is created by the Prime Time Entertainment management of Rai in collaboration with the Calbria Region and the Film Commission Foundation of Calabria thanks to an agreement signed by Rai which allowed the landscape variety and artistic richness of the area to be shown to the public. This year it will be Nina Zilli will guide the public through the beauties of Calabria with a series of videos made in the last few days in the area.

Music will obviously be the protagonist of The Year to Come. Many faces of Rai 1 and future competitors of Sanremo who will be on the Catanzaro stage from Serena Brancale to Sal da Vinci, Samurai Jay and Patty Pravo. But in Catanzaro they will also party Anna Oxa, Massimo RanieriSeptember, Clementino, Rocco Hunt, Nino Frassica and Los Plaggers Band with Gigi RockNina Zilli, Blacks by Chance, Cecilia Gayle, Country Cousins, Ice Mc, Ivan Cattaneo, Gazebo, Rosanna Fratello, Antonino. The band, directed by maestro Stefano Palatresi, will be the soundtrack to the evening with the many successes of the present and past. To enrich the show there will be a lively dance troupe which will make everything more dynamic and evocative.

As well as on Rai 1, The Year to Come it will be live on RaiPlay and Rai Radio1 with a special hosted by Marcella Sullo, Duccio Pasqua and John Vignola, present on site with a special station and incursions from the backstage to interview the guests present during the evening.
