Eva Wahlström tells about her terrible experience on Instagram.
The former world champion of professional boxing was hospitalized with his child.

– It was probably the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced, because I didn’t understand what it was about, Wahlström writes.
The mother describes how frightening the symptoms related to febrile convulsions looked.
– Elijah was lying on the couch when he suddenly started convulsing and vomiting. His back arched, foam came out of his mouth, his eyes rolled and he lost consciousness, Wahlström writes.
– It was like something from a horror movie.
Wahlström says that he gave the child in the arms of his spouse Niklas Räsänen in a panic. Then he called an ambulance.
Despite the moments of fear, everything went well, says the ex-boxer.
– We spent a day in Hyvinkää hospital, and everything went well in the end. In the evening, the games already tasted good in the new slide bed, Wahlström writes.
– A big thank you to the hospital staff for the wonderful care and meeting the child.
“I want to say this to everyone”
Wahlström has a message for parents of young children.
– I want to say this to all parents of young children: a febrile seizure is usually not dangerous, even though it looks really scary, the ex-boxer writes.
Health Library according to, a febrile convulsion does not harm the child’s development. If the child has a seizure for the first time, he should be examined in the emergency room.
In the end, the Wahlström family had good memories of Christmas. The ex-boxer says that due to illness, the family spent Christmas together in their own home for the first time.
– Mother had prepared Christmas for us, so the Christmas food was brought to the front door. Santa also arrived with his mother on board with gifts, Wahlstöm says.
– In the end, Christmas was really wonderful and it seems that from now on we will start creating our own Christmas traditions and spend Christmas in our own home.
For the new year, Wahlström wishes “a lot of love and health for absolutely everyone”.
