Lea Schüller has left FC Bayern for Manchester. The double winner didn’t have to think long about his successor.

FC Bayern Munich has ended striker Edna Imade’s loan at Real Sociedad San Sebastián early. The 25-year-old arrives with plenty of confidence after impressing in Spain with eight goals in 11 games.

As the club announced on Tuesday, Imade will join the Munich team during Bayern’s winter training camp from January 9th to 16th. The striker was originally on loan until the end of the season. Director Bianca Rech explained: “Edna has developed very well in the last few months. After her strong performance in Spain, we have decided together with her to end the loan early and to bring her back to Munich now.” Rech also thanked Real Sociedad for the “trusting and cooperative collaboration”.

A central reason for the return will be the departure of Lea Schüller. The DFB top scorer moved to Manchester United yesterday, Monday. Imade, who made her debut for the Spanish national team in the Nations League final against Germany in November, is expected to succeed her.
