Eintracht Frankfurt is upgrading in attack and, as expected, has signed Younes Ebnoutalib from SV Elversberg.

Eintracht Frankfurt is preparing for the 2026 football year and signed its first reinforcements for the storm shortly before the turn of the year. As the Hessians announced on Monday evening, Younes Ebnoutalib is moving from SV Elversberg to the Main. Ebnoutalib will receive a contract with Eintracht until the summer of 2031; according to media reports, the transfer fee is eight million euros plus two million euros in bonuses.

Ebnoutalib only moved to Elversberg from FC Gießen in the Regionalliga last January. The Frankfurt native, who played for SV 07 Heddernheim and Rot-Weiss Frankfurt in his youth, became an absolute shooting star for the Saarland team this season. The 22-year-old leads the top scorers list with 12 goals.

“A very more dangerous Player”

“Younes is a very dangerous player with a very good physique. In the last few months he was able to take the next steps in his development in Elversberg, which we would like to continue to advance together. We are convinced that he can quickly help us with his abilities, especially since he has all the athletic requirements,” said sports director Markus Krösche. “But it’s also clear that we’re giving Younes the necessary time to get used to Eintracht. As a native of Frankfurt, he won’t have any problems settling back into his hometown anyway.”

Sports director Timmo Hardung was also happy about the successful transfer. “With Younes Ebnoutalib, we have signed one of the most exciting German strikers at the moment. He has a high willingness to run, great physical presence and assertiveness in the box. He is also technically adept and has a good goal finisher.” Ebnoutalib himself said in an interview with the club’s own media: “It’s an indescribable feeling. If you have the chance to play for your own city, there’s nothing better.”
