Water board tax
You will pay more for the use of water in Zoetermeer in 2026. The Union of Water Boards has made a number of sample calculations of the developments. The figures show that a family of four with its own home and a WOZ value of 370,000 euros will pay an average of 510 euros in water board tax in 2026. That is about 32 euros more than in 2025.
The water board tax of a single tenant will increase by an average of ten euros, from 203 euros in 2025 to 213 euros in 2026. Most tax assessments will be sent out around March 1, 2026.
Municipal taxes
Zoetermeer homeowners will have to pay more for municipal taxes in 2026. In 2026, they will pay an average of 3.9 percent higher municipal housing costs. The assessment for real estate tax (OZB), sewage and waste tax will average 1,001 euros per household in 2026, exceeding the 1,000 euro limit for the first time.
