Eintracht Frankfurt is stepping up its attack: second division striker Younes Ebnoutalib is set to join the Hessians at the beginning of the new year.
Eintracht Frankfurt has apparently found what they are looking for in attack. As Sky and Bild reported on Sunday, second division top scorer Younes Ebnoutalib from SV Elversberg is said to be about to move to Hesse. This corresponds to information from hr-sport. The transfer fee should be around eight million euros plus bonuses.
Ebnoutalib, who is a native of Frankfurt, is expected to receive a contract until 2031. He could join Eintracht at the beginning of the new year.
A year ago at FC Giessen
The 22-year-old only made his breakthrough in professional football this season. The striker scored twelve times in 17 games. Ebnoutalib moved to Saarland from FC Gießen in the Regionalliga Südwest just under a year ago for around 50,000 euros; in his first half of the year he was only used sporadically.
The medical check at Eintracht is scheduled to take place this year. Apparently VfL Wolfsburg was also interested in Ebnoutalib. The contract was now awarded to Eintracht, who were looking for a striker after national player Jonathan Burkardt was unavailable. Replacement Michy Batshuayi (broken metatarsal) is also injured for a longer period of time, and Elye Wahi has not lived up to expectations so far.
