To get straight to the point: New Year’s Day will be mainly cloudy. According to Tom, this also includes showers. “During the day the temperature is between 4 and 7 degrees.”

“Around midnight it will remain cloudy in most places, but there will also be some clearing,” says the weatherman. “Most of the country remains dry during the New Year, although there may still be showers locally.” And don’t forget your hat when you go outside: it will be between 0 and 4 degrees.
Are you going to ring in the new year with fireworks? Then keep an eye on the wind. “There is a moderate to quite strong westerly wind,” says Tom.

He is also looking ahead to the first days of the new year. “It will be cold, with temperatures between 1 and 4 degrees, and there will be regular rain.” Snow fans can indulge themselves: “There is a chance of (wet) snow.
