Fazer’s novelty bun will make you rub your eyes.

The pearls familiar from bubble drinks are now also in bottles. Fazer Bakeries

Fazer Leipurie’s newest bun is surprising in many ways. First of all, it looks like a sloppy bun, even though it’s still December.

Secondly, the filling of the bun mistakenly resembles a frog’s nest.

Director of Communications at Fazer Bakery Tarja Kuusela says that the new Bubbles flatbread has been developed in honor of the New Year. It is only on sale until Epiphany.

– For the first time, the Fazer Leipurit in-store bakeries bring a seasonal bun only for the new year, Kuusela says via email.

The Bubbles bun is filled with lychee-flavored bubbles, strawberry jam and whipped cream.

The plant-based popping flavor gem has become a hit in bubble tea.

Bubble tea is a tea-based drink from Taiwan in the 1980s, which has grown in popularity around the world in recent years. Bubble tea is known by many different names, such as Bubble Tea, Pearl Milk Tea, Black Pearl Tea and Boba. The drink got its name from the jelly-like balls that are put into it.

– The bubble tea trend was an inspiring idea, it had to be tried in a cup. We follow taste trends and consumer demand. There are even more ideas than we have time to implement, Kuusela reveals.

According to Kuusela, the Bubbles bun is sizzling when the juicy bubbles pop in your mouth.

This is by no means the first time that the larder bun has changed its shape. Several different versions of the cream bun have been made in recent years, for example, for Independence Day, a cream bun has been baked with blueberry filling and for Valentine’s Day with pink whipped cream.

The real fall season begins after the new year and accelerates week by week towards the fall season in mid-February.
