“The speed with which the main parts of the Amsterdam Marathon have been sold out confirms the great appeal of the event,” said race director René de Wit in a press release.
The running event is known for its fast course and the finish is traditionally in the Olympic Stadium. The city marathon celebrated its fiftieth anniversary this year, which coincided with the 750th anniversary of the city of Amsterdam.
The Amsterdam Marathon will take place on October 17 and 18 next year. Just like during the last anniversary edition, the program is spread over two days.
