A 22-year-old Eindhoven resident has been arrested after 552 kilos of heavy, illegal fireworks were found in a shed in the Gestel district of Eindhoven. A local police officer reported this on Instagram on Sunday.
The police received an anonymous tip and started investigating on Saturday. After checking a shed, the police found a total of 552 kilos of illegal fireworks.
“The fireworks were stored in a shed in the middle of a residential area. This obviously entailed the necessary danger. If all the fireworks in the shed had ignited, the consequences would have been incalculable,” the police officer wrote on Instagram.
22-year-old man arrested
A 22-year-old man from Eindhoven was arrested for storing and possessing heavy, illegal fireworks.
The fireworks have been seized by the police and will be removed by a specialist company.
