After the duel with Joe Cullen, Mensur Suljovic was confronted with serious allegations. He obviously can’t do anything with them.

The Austrian darts professional Mensur Suljovic has reacted to the cheating allegations of his rival Joe Cullen at the World Championships in London. After his exit in the third round against the young world champion Luke Littler (0:4), Suljovic clearly criticized the 36-year-old Cullen for his accusations.

Cullen and Suljovic met in the second round. After the 3-1 defeat, the Englishman attacked his opponent because of his slow pace of play. On Platform X, Cullen wrote: “If this is darts, I don’t want anything to do with it.” He added that he had always liked Suljovic away from the darts board. “But that was obvious to everyone.”

Suljovic now countered to Sport1: “I’ve already been hit by Joe Cullen. He’s always talking, he’s a world champion at that.” Suljovic urged Cullen to play better instead of complaining after the game. “Don’t always complain. That’s crazy, I don’t like that. Looking ahead, tomorrow is a different day and a different game,” said the 53-year-old.

Meanwhile, Suljovic had words of praise for Luke Littler. “Absolute respect for Luke Littler, he’s only 18 years old,” he said of the defending champions after his elimination.
