According to a report, striker Younes Ebnoutalib (22) is about to move to Eintracht Frankfurt. Loud “Picture“The SGE was successful with its improved offer to SV Elversberg. The plan is to get things done this year. Sky also reports on the decision to change.
According to the newspaper, Ebnoutalib should complete the medical check by the end of the year and sign a contract until 2031. When the Hessians start training on January 2nd, the attacker should be involved with Eintracht, where striker Jonathan Burkardt is still out and who are working on another transfer for the striker center in the person of Arnaud Kalimuendo (23, Nottingham Forest).
The Frankfurters are said to have received the contract from SVE for Ebnoutalib for a fee of 8 million euros. The Saarlanders are said to have previously rejected an offer of 6.5 million euros. And the new offer can also increase to a double-digit million amount. With bonuses, up to 10 million euros should be able to flow from Frankfurt to Elversberg. This means that the SGE will initially pay as much for Ebnoutalib as it did two years ago, in January 2024, for the then 18-year-old Jean-Mattéo Bahoya (one of the most expensive transfers from Eintracht Frankfurt).
My problem with Ebnoutalib is that, IMHO, he needs the experience to take the step. He should stabilize and then he has a good chance. At some point the setback will come and we have quality in the squad that can completely derail you. Of course he can continue the development, even if Burkardt is still missing something, but I see the risks that he needs a moment bigger. If you protect him accordingly, there will be no playing time again.
Ebnoutalib in summer…
Meanwhile, the Elversberg team can get out at the price they initially estimated for Ebnoutalib. The fact that the SVE only paid 50,000 euros to regional league team FC Gießen for the services of the Frankfurt native just a year ago has long since established itself as a little football fairy tale. The most expensive sale that the Saarland team previously recorded was the move of Semih Sahin (25) to 1. FC Kaiserslautern last summer (among SV Elversberg’s most expensive sales).
VfL Wolfsburg is said to have recently tried Ebnoutalib. The player is said to have definitely sought the way to his birthplace. It was not foreseeable even a year ago that he would one day play for Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. Ebnoutalib, who had previously played in Rot-Weiss Frankfurt’s youth ranks, moved to AC Perugia in 2022. He was unable to assert himself there among the professionals. He went to Giessen and made his big breakthrough in Elversberg.
