Strong performance from Kevin Schade in the English team Premier League: The ex-Freiburger scored three goals for the Brentford FC and put himself in position for the World Cup squad.
In the 4:1 (2:0) of the eighth place in the table against AFC Bournemouth, Schade scored the 1:0 (7th minute), the 3:0 (51st) and the goal for the final score (90th + 6th). Guest player Dorde Petrovic made it 2-0 with an own goal (39th), while Antoine Semenyo scored the goal to make it 1-3 (75th).
With the left, with the right and with the head
But the man of the day was clearly Schade, who showed the full range of his skills with his goals: He scored the first goal with his left, then he scored with an excellent direct shot with his right – and in stoppage time he also added a header. Schade thus doubled his season quota for the European aspirant to six goals this season.
In the fight for a place in national coach Julian Nagelsmann’s World Cup squad, December 27th could have been a decisive one for the 24-year-old. On November 24th, the left winger played a 24-minute substitute role in the 2-0 win in Luxembourg, but before that he had not been in the DFB squad for almost a full year.

Five international matches so far
In total, Schade now has five international caps – after this performance against Bournemouth, the next ones could be added in the World Cup test against Switzerland on March 27th and three days later against Ghana.
The nomination for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico is now also quite realistic for Schade, because Nagelsmann is known to appreciate the speed and versatility of the winger.
