Four Germans were still in the field at the start of the third round. Ricardo Pietreczko had the supposedly easiest opponent. But “Pikachu” surprisingly flew out.

Ricardo “Pikachu” Pietreczko was kicked out of the Darts World Cup. The German failed due to world number 114, the Swede Andreas Harryson. With 2:4, “Pikachu” lost a match in which he was never actually ahead and mostly had to struggle with weak scoring. Only one or two high finishes kept him in the race.

Overall, things got off to a good start. Both players scored well, Harryson had an average of 107 in the first set, Pietreczko also broke the 100 mark. As a result, an exciting duel developed in which things went back and forth. But after four sets, the German lost the thread with the score at 2:2 and only won one of the last seven legs.

Pietreczko 2:4 (2:3, 3:2, 0:3, 3:1, 0:3, 1:3) Harrysson

6th set, 4th leg – And the Swede takes this leg! World number 114 throws out Ricardo Pietreczko.

6th set, 3rd leg – Pietreczko doesn’t get in well, but Harryson does a perfect 180. The Swede throws the leg from the front. Pietreczko struggles a lot and simply doesn’t hit any triples. The fact that Harryson doesn’t hit any triples here isn’t a problem at first. “Dirty Harry” throws a high finish! 146 remaining for the break. Another leg and Harryson throws Pietreczko out.

6th set, 2nd leg – Pietreczko’s scoring is getting better, he is hitting more triples. But Harryson hardly makes any mistakes. The German is at 150, Harryson at 110. Pietreczko is at 64. “Dirty Harry” narrowly misses the high finish, but “Pikachu” can’t use it for the break. Harryson gets the leg!

6th set, 1st leg – “Pikachu” has a hard time getting in again with his own throw. Pietreczko is bothered by a whistling fan, but things go a little better after that. Harryson awards 76 rest! “Pikachu” then gets the leg. Is that exciting!

5th set, 3rd leg – And there it is 3-0 for Harryson. The Swede is only missing one set to win!

5th set, 2nd leg – Pietreczko now has better scoring. With 148 remaining, however, he makes a serious mistake and only throws 10. Harryson has the chance to break, but misses an 82 finish. “Pikachu” cannot take advantage of this, break for the Swede.

5th set, 1st leg – Harryson remains difficult to break on his own throw, the Swede takes the leg.

4th set, 4th leg – Pietreczko can take the set here with a break. The “Big Fish” is standing, 170 remaining. But “Pikachu” doesn’t succeed, he has 74 remaining, while Harryson is still at 160. Pietreczko gets the chance to reach double 16 – and he scores. That’s the balance! This is going to be a crime thriller.
