A fire broke out in a house on Pelikaanstraat in Assen this afternoon. The residents were not at home at the time of the fire, a fire brigade spokesperson said.
The fire was on the ground floor of the house. According to the spokesperson, windows were also broken in the house. The fire brigade briefly scaled up, but eventually had the fire under control quickly. It is not clear what caused the fire.
