From musical competitions to blood-curdling game shows: these are the Zoetermeer toppers that shone on television this year. Who do you recognize?
The All-rounder Duos
In The All-rounder Duos six Zoetermeer residents participated: Antony formed a duo with Diana, Joke was a team with Petra and Virson played together with Sharon. 65 pairs competed against each other in all kinds of crazy assignments, from rolling toilet paper to passing balls through cups and music quizzes. After each round a duo was eliminated, until the all-rounders of 2025 remained.
You Will Have It
Anil from Zoetermeer was featured in the program You Will Have It. Presenter Emma Wortelboer looked into his daily life and saw how Anil, who has a rare gene defect that affects his joints and organs, among other things, shapes his life in a unique way and also excels in wheelchair basketball.

Zoetermeer residents Erwin and Hanno could be seen on Saturday, November 29 The Tribute – Battle of the Bandsin which thirteen tribute bands had to recreate their favorite artist’s biggest hits to perfection. In the program you saw Erwin providing lead guitar and background vocals and Hanno on drums with Kiss Alive ’75, the KISS tribute band.
The Chest
Presenter Kefah Allush went on the program The Chest in conversation with various guests about farewell, loss and grief. In episode twelve, Jan Slagter, who had lived in Zoetermeer for years, joined and shared his personal experiences and thoughts about death.
