The mutiny against Orlando is just the latest reprehensible episode involving the Warriors winger. And if Curry looks the other way…
Here we go again. NBA basketball: Draymond Green and his follies. That’s why the Warriors forgive him everything, he pulled another one of his own. One too many one might say, but the measure has been exceeded for a while now and yet every time the Warriors shrug their shoulders. “Boys gonna be boys,” they say in America. “I know guys,” they say on this side of the pond. In short, they preach well – especially Steve Kerr when he talks about top systems – but they scratch around badly when it would be necessary to do the right thing to the detriment of the team’s advantage. Green will, it seems, be on the field in the Dubs’ next game. As if nothing had happened. Yet last night’s mutiny against Orlando is newsworthy. He argued with the coach during a time out in the 3rd period, got angry and went to the locker room. He pouted like naughty children. “Don’t you agree with me? And I don’t play anymore.” When he later returned to the San Francisco franchise bench, Kerr was forced to keep him out for the rest of the game to save appearances. By the way, do you want to know all about it? As soon as Green came out the Dubs took off, he closed -5 plus/minus in a game won by 23 points by his team.
