Morocco and Comoros faced each other in the opening match of the African Cup of Nations Group A. Morocco won the match 2-0 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
Brahim Diaz and Ayoub El Kaabi scored the goals that brought victory to the North African representative. Fenerbahçe’s Youssef En-Nesyri, who started the match on the bench, joined the game in the 76th minute.
With this result, Morocco started the tournament with 3 points, while Comoros left the first match without any points. In the next matches of Group A, Morocco will face Mali; Comoros will be the guest of Zambia.
