December 19 – 4.23pm – MARANELLO (MO)

After the track party in Bahrain the time has come for the home crowd bath. Because contact with the world of employees, those who experience the races from home, as enthusiasts, is fundamental: hence the two Ferrari 499Ps that brought home the drivers’ and constructors’ titles were exhibited in Maranello on Thursday 18 December, directly inside the factory, where they then paraded for the benefit of the many employees who came to see them. Later, at 2 pm, the cars emerged from the historic arch of Via Abetone Inferiore and crossed part of the city until reaching the square of the Ferrari Museum, where they remained on display to the public while the drivers were available for an autograph session.

Crowd bath

The enthusiasm for a discipline like endurance, certainly not the most immediate for the general public, demonstrates how Ferrari manages to unite in whatever context it finds itself in. In a 2025 in which the results in Formula 1 were disappointing, the WEC team brought smiles to the fans with four claims in the raceincluding the third consecutive at the 24 Hours of Le Mansbut above all with the triumph both in the drivers’ world championship with Antonio Giovinazzi, Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado, and among the constructors thanks to the essential contribution of the other crew formed by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen. And all the pilots, with the exception of Calado’s excused absence, were welcomed by crowd in Maranellofirst from the employees and then from all the enthusiasts who came despite the gray day at the end of December.

Objective to repeat

At the launch of the 499P, during the 2022 Ferrari World Finals, the objective declared by Endurance and Corse Clienti manager Antonello Coletta was clear: win the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the world title within five years. Three years later, that goal was reached early, so now comes the hardest part: reconfirming yourself. The drivers also declared this, referring to the ever-increasing number of opponents: Genesis will debut in 2026, keeping the number of manufacturers unchanged despite the exit of Porsche, while 2027 will be the turn of Ford and McLaren. For next year Ferrari AF Corse has once again chosen the path of continuity: the two official crews remain unchanged, with Fuoco-Molina-Nielsen on the number 50 and Giovinazzi-Pier Guidi-Calado on the 51who in turn will keep the traditional numbers without giving in to the temptation to wear the 1. Also confirmed Yifei Ye on car number 83 in Giallo Modena livery fielded by AF Corse, while we will have to wait a little longer to be sure of his teammates.
