PSV can break an Eredivisie record next Sunday. With a win over FC Utrecht, the fourteenth away victory in a row is a fact and no club has achieved that in 69 years of the Eredivisie. Trainer Peter Bosz: “You don’t get any prizes for it, but it does say something about what you are doing. It is a special statistic.”
Bosz has no explanation for the excellent series in away games. “I don’t know if we have a more difficult time at home, because there are also difficult matches away. Perhaps clubs will dare to play more forward against us in front of their own audience and that will give us space.”
“The most important thing is three points.”
The record is a great goal to end the year 2025 with. “But the most important thing is that three points help us take another step towards the championship. Bosz is missing a large list of players against FC Utrecht. For example, Ismaël Saibari, Anass Salah-Eddine and Adamo Nagalo are at the Africa Cup, Alassane Pléa, Ruben van Bommel and Myron Boadu are still injured and there is a question mark behind the employability of Mauro Junior. “I hope Mauro is there in Utrecht. With the poison in his game, he is so important for PSV.”

Due to the many injuries, there may be a place in the team again for 17-year-old talent Noah Fernandez. “He showed what he can do in training, but also in the cup against GVVV. If you are good enough and at his age, you can play.”
Reserve goalkeeper Nick Olij suffered a groin injury last week and will be out for months. If it were up to Bosz, there would be no new goalkeeper. “Behind Matej Kovar, we have two talented goalkeepers with Niek Schiks and Tijn Smolenaars. I have every confidence in them, although I do not have the final vote.”
Interest in Veerman
After the away match on Sunday in Galgenwaard Stadium, it is the winter break. Although it will not be quiet behind the scenes at the PSV management.
