UEFA punishes FC Bayern by partially excluding fans

After their massive use of pyrotechnics, UEFA is excluding some of the Bayern fans from the upcoming premier class game. A next punishment could be even more serious.
FC Bayern Munich has to play its Champions League home game against Union Saint-Gilloise on January 21st in front of a partially empty fan curve. In response to the massive use of pyrotechnics in the home game against Sporting Lisbon on December 9th (3-1), UEFA ordered blocks 111 to 114 in the lower tier of the south curve to be closed.
UEFA also imposed a two-year suspended sentence on Bayern, which required the entire south stand to be closed. The people of Munich also have to pay a fine of 30,000 euros, plus 16,000 euros for blocking passages. Bayern also received a fine of 70,000 euros for the game at Arsenal on November 26th (1:3). In London there were clashes between Munich fans and law enforcement officers who wanted to prevent the hanging of a banner.
Eintracht Frankfurt was also punished. The Hessians are not allowed to sell guest tickets for the away game at Qarabağ Ağdam in Azerbaijan on January 21st and will be fined 38,000 euros. According to the verdict, Eintracht fans ignited pyrotechnics, damaged the toilets in the guest area and threw objects during the game at FC Barcelona on December 9th (1:2).
