The 1. FC Cologne meets Union Berlin with coach Steffan Baumgart on Saturday. The former FC coach is coming to Cologne for the second time since leaving the Billy Goats. Baumgart was released on December 21, 2023 after he lost with FC at Union Berlin the day before. Lukas Kwasniok is looking forward to seeing Baumgart again, whom the current FC coach once inherited from SC Paderborn. “I found it remarkable how Baumi handed me the baton in Paderborn,” said Kwasniok on Thursday. “He took his time and told me his point of view. That made it easier for me. I’m looking forward to seeing him again because he has his heart in the right place and is an emotional guy.”
