Although the European Parliament recently agreed to additional protective measures, such as a system of enhanced surveillance on imports of sensitive products such as beef, poultry and sugar, concerns remain high.
“It is no longer necessary for me, but I especially want to support the young farmers,” says Koen Taveirne, also a farmer. “My son wants to go into agriculture and I find it absurd how this is going today. For me, that’s enough.”
