Lionel Messi arrived this Wednesday morning at the Sauce Viejo International Airport and was received by more than a thousand fans who gathered early to see the captain of the National Team up close. Despite the furor that his arrival generated, the security operation was carried out without problems and allowed an agile and orderly passage of the Rosario star and his family.

The plane that took Messi from Florida landed after 10 in the morning. Although the arrival time was modified, as the minutes passed the air terminal was filled with fans awaiting the departure of the world champion, in a climate of expectation and excitement.

The Government of Santa Fe, headed by Maximiliano Pullaro, and the provincial Ministry of Productive Development, headed by Gustavo Puccini, highlighted the operation coordinated by the president of the Airport, Gisela Riuli. “We had more than a thousand people and no problems. Lionel arrived, carried out the necessary procedures and left the airport amidst the enthusiasm of the fans,” the organization noted.

Messi’s arrival also served to show Sauce Viejo’s operational capacity. “Messi’s possible arrival coincided with one of the regular flights that connects with Aeroparque. We were waiting to guarantee the normal development of daily operations, with everything that having Messi at the airport implies. The staff was up to the task,” said Riuli, who thanked the entire team for their work.

Regarding logistics, the president of the terminal explained that joint work was carried out with different areas of the provincial government to guarantee security, agility and privacy. The Ministry of Productive Development, the Ministry of Transportation and Logistics, airport authorities and the Ministry of Justice and Security participated in this scheme.

In addition, they highlighted that the recent authorization of the primary customs zone allowed Messi and his family to carry out all immigration and customs procedures within the terminal itself, which expedited the departure to the place where the footballer will spend his stay in the province.

Currently, the Sauce Viejo International Airport operates daily flights to Buenos Aires, with two frequencies per day to Aeroparque and a biweekly frequency to Ezeiza. It also has four weekly flights to Salta, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and four to Iguazú, on Thursdays and Sundays.
