Ninety examples, a lifelong history and a GT3 that talks about design even before performance. The Porsche 911 GT3 90 FA Porsche is a collector’s item built around the figure of Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, between memory, style and uncompromising mechanics
If you look at the Porsche 911 GT3 90 FA Porsche just like a special series, you risk missing the point. This is not a simple celebration, nor a successful color variant. This GT3 was born as a three-dimensional story, as an object that brings together mechanics, memory and functional design, exactly as he would have wanted Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. The starting point is a phrase that the historic designer, nicknamed Butzihe often repeated: “If we consider the function that an object must perform, its shape reveals itself”. It is a principle that guided the birth of the 911, the Chronograph I, the P 8478 glasses and, today, also this very particular GT3. He doesn’t shout, he doesn’t show off. Tells. The technical basis is that of the 911 GT3 with Touring packagethat is, the most discreet version of the modern GT3. No fixed aileron, no visual excesses. Under the rear hood, however, remains the heart that counts: the 4.0 liter naturally aspirated flat-six, capable of 375 kW, or 510 HP, with 450 Nm of torque. An engine that needs no introduction and which, in this context, almost seems to want to take a step back to make room for the rest of the story.
1 The color that has a memory
—
The first detail that catches the eye is the color. Not just any green, but FA Greenmetallic, a shade developed by Paint to Sample Plus specialists in collaboration with the Porsche family. Inspiration comes fromOak Green Metallic of the 911 G Series that FA Porsche drove in the 1980s. An elegant, deep, never flashy green that changes character with the light. This model is also the first to introduce the new Paint to Sample Plus marking on the A-pillarset to become a standard for custom models from 2026 onwards. A small but significant detail, as those who consider design a question of coherence like them. On the outside, the Sport Classic wheels also stand outexclusive to this version: glossy satin black, Fuchs inspiration, central locking and historic 1963 Porsche emblem on the hubcaps. On the grille of the rear bonnet there is a galvanized gold-plated badge with the writing “90 FA Porsche”, the only openly celebratory, but always measured, quirk.
2 A cabin that looks like a design studio
—
Inside, the GT3 90 FA Porsche completely changes tone. The interior is not designed to impress, but to tell a story about a person. THE Truffle-coloured Club leather upholstery they are combined with chalk-coloured decorative stitching and, above all, with FA Grid Weave fabric inserts. This fabric is not born from a fashion, but from a jacket. Indeed, by several jackets: the ones that FA Porsche usually wore in his studio. The pattern is obtained by intertwining five colors (black, green, truffle brown, cream and burgundy red) and is used not only for the seats, but also for the glove compartment, the document holder and the reversible trunk mat. The gear knob is made of open-pore walnut plywood, with a plate bearing the engraved signature of FA Porsche. Another gold-plated plaque, with the original 911 silhouette and the words “One of 90“, runs along the decorative profile of the dashboard. Each element seems positioned not to amaze, but to be touched, experienced, recognised. The Sport Chrono clock on the dashboard also looks to the past: it is inspired by the Chronograph I created as a one-off for FA Porschewith graphics that directly recall the world of analog instruments.
3 The weather, the travel, the sledding
—
The 911 GT3 90 FA Porsche never arrives alone. Along with the car, buyers receive an exclusive edition of the Porsche Design Chronograph 1created specifically for this series. Matte black dial, Super-LumiNova with patina effect, FA Porsche initials above the date display, automatic movement rotor that takes the shape and color of the car’s wheels. The case, unlike the original from 1972, is in ultra-light titanium, but coated in black as then. The case back is laser engraved with edition number and signature. It is a Cosc certified watch, hand-built in Grenchen, which tells a story of functional design even before luxury. The package also includes a travel bag, made in the same Truffle-colored leather as the interior, with Gesso stitching and FA Grid Weave fabric inserts. A coherent, almost necessary object, as if the car needed its baggage to be complete. Finally, the twist: the return of the Porsche Junior sled. Originally designed in the 1960s, today it is reborn in carbon fiber with a Kevlar core, painted in the same FA Greenmetallic and upholstered in the same fabric as the seats. He too, obviously, in 90 copies.

The 911 GT3 90 FA Porsche will be available to order from April 2026 at the price of 366,327 euros. Production will begin in the second half of 2026, after the customization phase. It is not a car designed for everyone, nor does it want to be. It is an object that tells a philosophy: that of a designer who has always believed that the right shape needs no explanation. And, apparently, not even time.
