Kärpät is second to last in the SM league – and the club’s fans are in trouble.

– The team has once again been able to exceed even the lowest expectations, Poromafia thunders in the press release published on Wednesday.

Poromafia tries to wake up the whole club on Wednesday by missing Kärppi’s home game against Kiekko-Espoo. It also encourages others to participate in the protest.

– Anyone entering the hall can participate in the protest if they wish, by reacting as little as possible to the events of the game and not cheering. Hopefully, the quiet hall will wake up the club’s management to think about their own role in Kärppie’s bottom line, which is getting deeper every year.

Gloomy going

Kärpät finished 13th in the regular season last season. According to the fans, the current season is a continuation of the disaster. However, the decline has clearly been going on for longer.

The fans are now demanding big game moves to break the downward spiral.

– Year after year, attempts have been made to fix the leaky ship with coaches, sports directors and high-paid players. This has not taken our club’s sporting success in any direction. After the changes in question, the eyes must be turned to the top management of the club, the Poromafia press release states.

The fan base is satisfied that Kärppie’s background company has succeeded in growing the business, but it is not much consolation when the main product is a common laughing stock.

– The top management of the society must have people who achieve more than successful restaurant and music event activities.
