Dbehind the radiant smile that lights up the studio every Sunday evening What’s the weather likehides a year of fragility and pain. Filippa Lagerback has chosen the path of absolute sincerity to answer a simple question posed by a follower on Instagram: a banal “how are you?” which opened Pandora’s box of a 2025 marked by mourning.
Filippa Lagerback’s most difficult year
There’s no need to mince words when pain touches the deepest chords. The Swedish presenter, who has always been a symbol of kindness and positivity, defined in no uncertain terms the year that is drawing to a close as “the worst of my life”. To weigh on the heart of Filippa is the sudden absence of her mother Margarethawho passed away last January. An unbridgeable void that transformed the following months into an emotional obstacle course.
«I’m still in a storm of emotions, up and down. It’s difficult to turn off your brain and calm your heart» confessed the 52-year-old, revealing that human and vulnerable side that often remains hidden behind the TV spotlight.
The search for light in the darkness
Despite the pain, the work partner of Fabio Fazio and Luciana Littizzetto does not give up. His resilience comes through the daily search for little moments of joynecessary to avoid sinking. «But many good things also happen, I have so much love around me, new passions and so much beauty» explained Filippa Lagerback, adding her personal recipe for moving forward: «I try to activate my body, talk to those close to me and breathe lightness.”
Daniele Bossari’s love and the memory of his mother
Supporting her in this delicate moment is, as always, her family: her daughter Stella, now 25 years old, and her Husband Daniele Bossari. The couple, linked since 2000 and married since 2018, confirms themselves as one of the most solid in showbiz. If in the past it had been Filippa Lagerback a supporting Daniele during his battle against cancer and depressiontoday it is he who restores that strength and that indispensable presence.
But the thought always returns there, to mother Margaretha, remembered with words of infinite sweetness which sound like a promise: «Mom continue in the form of your pure essence of love, empathy and generosity. In being loyal and respectful, cheerful and smiling, in wanting the good of everyone.” A legacy of love that not even the most difficult year can erase.
