Goalkeeper Remko Pasveer returns to the starting line-up for Ajax on Wednesday in the second round of the KNVB Cup against the amateurs of Excelsior Maassluis. That’s what trainer Fred Grim said a day before the match. “Remko will play tomorrow and a nice bonus is that it is his hundredth official match (for Ajax, ed.), so that is a great moment for him.” Grim chose Vitezslav Jaros in goal in the last matches.
Ajax suffered no injuries from the 2-0 win in the Classic against Feyenoord. “It is true that no players are returning at the moment. So we have the same injury list as last weekend.” Kenneth Taylor, Wout Weghorst, Josip Sutalo, James McConnell and Steven Berghuis are missing. The cup match will be played in the Sparta stadium. The kick-off is at 6.45 pm.
