Bundesliga table leaders SVG Lüneburg have reached the final of the German Volleyball Cup for the fourth time.
The North Germans defeated the SWD powervolleys Düren 3-0 (25:23, 25:17, 26:24) in their own hall in the semi-finals. The team around captain Jesse Elser also took revenge for the 3-0 defeat in November against the Rhinelanders, who were second in the VBL table; it was the only defeat for Lüneburg in the last 16 games.
On Wednesday (7 p.m./Dyn) there will be an eternally young duel in the second semi-final between the 17-time DVV Cup winner VfB Friedrichshafen and the defending champions and champions Berlin Recycling Volleys.
The final will take place on February 28, 2026 in Mannheim. After eleven editions in the SAP Arena, the event will move to Cologne in 2027.
