He lived his Spanish dream. Geert Lammertyn (51) moved from Ostend to Alicante two years ago, together with his wife and two teenage daughters. He rode his bike there every day. But on Sunday he suffered something in his heart during one of those rides, barely five kilometers from home. His wife Isabelle (48) testifies: “I wanted to put a scarf under his head. But the doctor said very bluntly that there was no point anymore.”
