An old tree on the Vennerbroek Estate caught fire this evening. The fire brigade was alerted to a roof fire, but on site it turned out to be a beech tree on fire.

Around the pond on the Vennerbroek Estate there are characteristic old beech trees and a monumental sweet chestnut that is more than three hundred years old. One of the beech trees caught fire. The fire brigade is busy extinguishing the fire. It is not yet known how the fire started.
